The Budapest Collective is a diverse group of musicians working across a broad musical spectrum, yet connected by a shared artistic sensibility. Their work is informed by traditional musical cultures from around the world, even if these influences are not equally prominent in every band or project. Many of the members are also deeply rooted in Hungarian folk music, both as performers and as dedicated practitioners and researchers of the tradition.
Improvisation is another central element of the collective’s musical language.
